Terrorists strike again! I’m talking about the #Terrorist
act in Paris.
12 people dead in a senseless shooting. People who valued freedom of
speech and expression murdered for what they believed in. And the three terrorists who believe that violence is
the only way to express their feelings; three terrorists who are members of
Muslim extremists. Apparently, they were upset about the cartoons featuring the
prophet Muhammad. Pretty petty to commit murder over a bunch cartoons.
Acts like that do nothing to ease the existing tension
between Muslims and the rest of the world; and that is because these terrorists
come from the Muslim community. Of course, we can’t condemn every Muslim
because of the horrific acts of a few. There are moderate Muslims who are
trying to live a peaceful life, who are trying to live in harmony with
non-Muslims, even though, according to the teaching of the Prophet, the
infidels have to be killed.
Quote:
“O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for
your friends: They are but friends to each other. And he amongst you that turns
to them [for friendship] is of them [an infidel]. Verily Allah guideth not a
people unjust” (Koran 5:51).
#Prophet Muhammad’s words: “I have
been ordered by Allah to fight and kill all people [non-Muslims] until they
say, ‘No God except Allah.'”
Quote:
Quran (2:191-193) - "And
slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they
drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of
non-believers]... but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful.
And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah."
The historical context of this passage is not defensive warfare, since Muhammad
and his Muslims had just relocated to Medina
and were not under attack by their Meccan adversaries. In fact, the verses urge
offensive warfare, in that Muslims are to drive Meccans out of their own city
(which they later did). The use of the word "persecution" by some
Muslim translators is thus disingenuous (the actual Muslim words for
persecution - "idtihad" - and oppression - a variation of
"z-l-m" - do not appear in the verse). The actual Arabic comes from
"fitna" which can mean disbelief, or the disorder that results
Here is a quote I found on a site: (You can check it out here)
Best Answer: the answer is simple. the quran is many to be taken literally. the prophet muhammad, peace be upon him was given the truth by allah who created the universe. allah wishes us to murder those who do not believe in him. Jihad is commanded on all true muslims, not just by some fringe group.

Scary Stuff, isn’t it.
One can only hope that not all Muslims
follow this literally. The Muslim community has to join in the fight against
the radicals in their midst. It is the only way.
Of course, Christians have not been the
wonderful, peace loving people with lily-white sheets. Just go back in history and
read about the terrible acts that were committed in the name of religion. Men
and women tortured, crippled, drowned, and burned at the stake as witches.
During the religious wars between the Catholics and Protestants that lasted decades millions were killed because they
didn’t follow the teachings of the Church.
Muslims get upset when fun is poked at the
Prophet and their religion. It is understandable, except their displeasure
should not be expressed violently. That is barbaric and unacceptable. However,
think about this. What was so different a few hundred years ago in Europe? During the Inquisition people who spoke out
against the church or the Pope were persecuted, imprisoned, and murdered. Once
they were out of the way, the Church confiscated their possessions.
